Do you have to use water when sanding your ball with these pads?

I know these are good for surface adjustments, is it best to use water when sanding with the pads or to use the pads dry?

Hello,
If you are making quick surface adjustments while bowling it is ok to use them dry. We recommend cleaning them out when you get home to keep the resin from clogging up the pores of the abralon pad and to help them last longer.
