It keeps the same asymmetric Rondure MaxD Core that powered the original Gremlin and changes the cover. The new G-R1 Solid is a refined, nano-free alternative to Roto Grip's more aggressive V-R1, so it grips strongly without the over-aggressive bite of its predecessor. Roto Grip describes the result as more mid-lane traction with a smoother, more continuous transition through the backend.
