Both use the same symmetric Danger Zone Core. The Purple Ice has a polished pearl cover that saves energy through the heads, so it gets down the lane cleaner than the solid and makes a stronger, more defined move off the friction. Throw the solid Danger Zone on fresh medium to heavy oil, then move to the Purple Ice as the lane transitions and you want more length.
