Hammer lists it for medium to heavy oil, and it is also built for the transition. The 1500-grit polish gives clean length and an angular back end. For an earlier, smoother read on more oil, take the surface down with a lower-grit pad, or keep it polished for maximum length when the lanes dry, with surface changes done at your pro shop.
