Both use the same symmetric APX V1 Core. The Pearl's polished pearl cover saves energy through the heads, so it gets down the lane cleaner than the solid and makes a stronger, more defined move off the friction. Throw the APEX Solid on fresh medium to heavy oil, then move to the Pearl as the lane transitions and you want more length.
