Have your pro shop take the surface down. It ships at a Power Edge polish for the most length, and taking the surface down gives an earlier, smoother read when the oil increases. Because the core is asymmetric, your pro shop can also position the pin and mass bias to lean the motion earlier. Re-polishing brings the length back.
