It ships with a Power Edge polish, a length-and-continuation setup that runs clean and long out of the box. For an earlier, stronger read when the oil increases, have your pro shop take the surface down with a lower-grit pad, and have it re-polished to bring the length back. Between sessions, wipe the V-R1 Pearl cover with an approved reactive ball cleaner and deep clean it periodically.
