It is built for fresh, heavy oil, so it is the ball you start with and step down from as the lanes transition and open up. If you want more from it as the volume drops, your pro shop can polish the 2000-grit surface for a cleaner, longer read. Keeping the cover clean also matters, since a nanoparticle solid at a low grit absorbs oil quickly.
