The Black Venom is the asymmetric, more defined member of the Venom family. The benchmark Venoms use the symmetric Gear core, and the Venom Shock and its pearls read smoothly, while the Black Venom's asymmetric Gear APG Core adds a more pronounced, continuous breakpoint. It keeps moderate, manageable flare and a controllable read on dry to medium oil, so it sits just above the symmetric Venoms when you want a touch more shape.
